Been drawing. And making prints. Some prontos. Need to grain me a stone. Learned some proper silkscreen. Made some little dino shirts for Jman and his buddy Seba. And even worked on an intaglio copper plate. Drypoint. It’s like crossing over to the dark side. Oh Senefelder, I have not forsaken thee!
Here’s what happened. I started doing these drawing and pronto plates, far different from the figurative work I’d usually been doing. Was really enjoying the line work, repetitive mark making, building up of dark tones, and digging into the surface with the point of a pen. So in looking at the drawings on paper and on pronto plates, I began to think…wow. These might be kinda nice as drypoints.
